Committed to anchoring the present in the past he rejoices in his uniform, medals and memories. Sadly his dimmed recollection is the only link with the once proud Houndish military tradition.

About Ivan Clarke & Lonely Dog

Ivan Clarke is an internationally recognised New Zealand artist based in Queenstown, with work exhibited and represented through galleries in New Zealand, Australia, the US and the UK. He is best known today for Lonely Dog — the whimsical world of Arthur “Lonely Dog” Snout and the hounds and cats of Port Alveridge — with his Lonely Dog Legacy Collection spanning over 200 original artworks. Several pieces, including the bronze sculptures, were produced in collaboration with the world-famous Wētā Workshop.
