Reconnecting families, Feeding the Forsaken
Children who live in Institutions and orphanages... Children who live in extreme need... Children who live on the streets... Children who live in correction centres... and Children whose mothers are in prison are all ministered to through our partner Foundation in Kostroma, Russia.
Russia is our next major project where we have been working with a Russian foundation to see the establishment of a centre [the Ayushki centre] for street children and children in extreme situations since 2005. On Boxing Day 2009, we had the joy of seeing the centre officially opened and were there to see the progress. With extreme winter temperatures in Kostroma the centre provides alternatives for children who, out of desperation, break into buildings to avoid the harsh conditions.
The centre assists children who fall through the cracks and don't meet the criteria to live in a State orphanage. It also assists children who live in institutions, hospitals and school who have no place called home. We also fund help via a qualified psychologist to assist children who are in correction centres to help them live meaningful lives once they are released. We’ve helped with eye examinations and provided glasses, food, clothing, provided birthdays and outings and the highlight of every year has been the Northern Summer camps which enable children to leave the city boundary and experience friendship like they've never known.
The centre has been capturing the attention of the local city authorities who have been assisting with practical help.

" I consider it an honor to be able to help support the Orphans. My passion for children is great. I have 6 children and 12 Grandchildren of my own. Helping support the Orphans is my way of staying connected with the Children who need what little I can help them with, but it comes from the bottom of my heart and with my prayers that more people will do the same. Love And Prayers always."
